Pas encore décidé de prendre, mais il faut que je me penche sur la question de ce que vaut l'artiste tout "seul" ... enfin sans Bruce Springsteen et est -ce que les raisons de son départ se ressentent dans le disque, j'entends un genre plutôt différent? En voilà des questions ;-)
Maybe one of the greatest sleepers of the decade: a brilliant first effort for Van Zandt, featuring a great assemblage of fine musicians from the Southside Johnny band. If you remember the awesome horns of the Sam & Dave R & B tours of the '60's, you will appreciate this album. Coming at the crest of the UK 'New Wave', not much attention was paid to this effort. But compared to all that pop-synth bullshit, 'Men Without Women' is raw, powerful, honest full-throated R & B-infused Rock at its finest.
Little Steven ROCKED! I thank you for posting this. He really never got the attention he deserved with these albums. I have them on vinyl but they are a welcome addition to my 'puter.
